A voice recording, made by a person who doesn't identify itself, and doesn't know my name, called to say the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and I should urgently call a 1-600 number. The IRS does not operate this way!

You may see spam calls from +1-408-256-0700 on Bluetooth watches connected to a Project Fi phone. This is the number Project Fi uses when it identifies a spam call. It only appears on your watch and doesn't ring your phone. When you see the number, please ignore it." They claim it's been fixed but obviously it hasn't.
I received call from 4082560700, the person who called acted as security company and asked to confirm the security code around 7.00 AM in the morning. I was at home and there was no security alarm incident at home. So doubted and asked them to dispatch police and hung up the phone.
What are suggestion for precautions? Should this needs to be informed to Sheriff office?
