This is a known spammer by the name of Ryan Lenahan who's been busted for SMS spam by the FTC. He's now spamming using an autodialer to his stolen data/customer list.
the 2672 number has been calling multiple times of day for at least a month, possibly more, usually hanging up if answered. Yesterday I did get someone on the phone who was very aggressive and insisted that they were required to continue calling until they booked an appointment, some BS about "coming to your house to inform you about your electricity savings options as required by law". I thought my insistence that I knew this was bogus and was going to look into legal action might have shut it down, but they're calling again today. It's torture.
I keep receiving calls daily from (408) 264-2636, 2646, 2672, 2719, and 2547 (more recent calls first). I only got a live person to talk to me twice. The first time I asked them to stop calling. The second time the guy hung up on me as soon as it sounded like I was complaining. I contacted A1 Solar Power corporate office at (855) 410-4700 and eventually spoke to the "receptionist" who said that the National Renewable Energy Center handled their telemarketing and I should contact them at (877) 593-2995. So far, unable to get through at that number. Go figure.
As a couple of the earlier posters stated, this collection of scum bags operate a call center in the Ventura area. In an effort to evade prosecution they frequently change the name of their supposed entity (previous names used: "National Renewable Energy Center," "California Green Energy," "Smart Energy Advocates.") They use a predictive dialer, so if you have been receiving daily "dead calls," at about the same time each day, then - most likely - you are being targeted by this particular species of vermin. Based on today's call, it appears they are now using a new name, "Energy Evolution," however, the pitch is pretty much the same: "We are contacting homeowners ... regarding solar power."
