Very strange. First no one was there. I stayed on the line and a woman with a loud voice was speaking Spanish to someone else in a telemarketing room. I blocked the number.
Lady, accent hard to identify; might be Indian, might be Philippine. Claims not to be a "solicitation" call but an "informational service". Something about "matching the homeowner with a service" to install a photoelectric system" (or maybe she actually said "solar system" -- what? Nine or ten planets and an asteroid belt?)
I told her she had awoken me from a rare opportunity to sleep in and she just kept on blabbering.
I didn't feel like stringing her along to find out what the actual scam is. I eventually got rid of her and tried to get back to sleep.
They are rude and persistent, insisting that they are not selling anything, but trying to talk about the US govt having billions of dollars to spend on solar solutions for high pg and e bills. When I said we don't want to be called and are on a do not call list, they say they are not selling anything...etc. then they hang up when I say we have solar. They call every week!
