received this phone call stating I would be arrest for a loan I didn't pay in 2013, there is no way a person gets arrest for not paying a loan maybe in India but not in the United States. Such Scammers I wish they would stop calling and get a real job. Also the 408 exchange is not from California it's from Illinois, another big mistake. There is no way to track these people they kept using spoofing phone numbers, fake IP address.
Just received a similar message from "Officer Kevin Williams, Badge #B24 with the Head Police Headquarters" stating that there was a lawsuit against my name and I needed to call Attorney Mark Brown within 30 minutes. I didn't call him back but I did call the California police office to confirm the validity of the officer and the reason for the call. They of course advised that I not return the call and that this type of call would never be legit.
Received a call from them yesterday. I called back they saying there was a warrant out for my arrest on my name and social security number for a loan that was never deposited into my account. They started saying my address and gave bogus dates. So I said okay whatever. Then the guy with the same voice who left the message said we are sending your information to your police district and you'll be locked up in the next hour. Welp I'm still free! Haha
I got the same call from Calvin Williams saying he was with the state police and that I took out a loan 18 months ago. I couldn't really understand exactly what he was saying because his accent was so thick so I told him to have someone call me back that could speak english. I knew it was a scam from the moment he opened his mouth.
I got a call from this number at least 2x in past week. Both times leaving a voicemail stating they were from the state police dept that he was Officer Kevin Williams, badge #B24. That if I didn't call back in the next 30 minutes then a warrant would be issued in my name and I'd be locked up immediately. First and foremost, the call was from California and I live in Texas. Second, I should've been locked up by now since the 19th was last week & its the 23rd. I called the # and asked for officer Kevin Williams, the guy seemed shocked/confused, said I'll call you right back. Hmmm, after about 20 minutes still no return call. And I'm still free. I'm calling my local police dept to see what they can do.
