This is a scammer, most likely from India.  He posted a job on Craigslist and when my daughter replied he was going to send her monies to purchase stuff for him.  More than likely bad checks which would have been identified by PD or Bank.  And or he would have items purchased by stollen cards mailed to our location.   Not sure the benefit to him unless he wanted her to send those packages our of the country.  He claims to be an art  dealer currently visiting Australia, but could say he is from anywhere.  According to Mr. Number it is a Magic Jack telephone number.

Hi, how did you find out all this information about him? I also got a call from him. I am trying to figure out if this is real. Did he actually sent stuff to your location? How did you find out the check was not real? Did you go to the bank? Also how do you know he is buying stuff from stoles credit cards, I'd really appreciate your response on this one as fast as possible, I got one of those checks and I'm trying to figure out if I should go to the bank and deposit it. Would I get in any trouble if I just to and ask?

I got the same email after I inquired about his Craig's List job posting.  His phone number was at the bottom of the email.  I'm curious that he could open a prepaid UPS account.  The problem with accepting payments from this type of scammer is that the check that "cleared" today will turn out to be a fraud after a couple of weeks, and then you have to repay the funds from your own account.

I also read this ad on craigslist for personal assistant job.  THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM.

#1:  I work w/HR, it is illegal to ask someone to provide their age regarding a job.
#2:  I was skeptical  once reading the below email response, did a little research on the telephone number provided. The telephone number provided is a landline in California.  Why would you ask someone to give you a call on a landline while you're in AUSTRALIA!!??  YOU'RE NOT THERE TO ANSWER A LANDLINE!!
#3:  Person claims to love art, the email even comes as [email protected].  I did research on artlover.com, and find that it is FREE email account, you can use any name you want @artlover.com.

I would love to meet up with you to talk about this job but I am currently away on business trip to Australia so there will be no interview. And while I am away,you will be carrying out this aforementioned duties out on my behalf .
