Kept getting a call saying Ebay and if you are expecting this call press and said a different nubber each time. I wasn't expecting a call from them. I didn't press anything. They continued to call about 4- 5 times and then gave up. It was arount 1:30pm EST.
Called my cell, but left no message -- robot probably got confused by the Google Voice new-caller prompts. Just in case, I logged into my eBay account -- no problems there, even though I hadn't hit it for months.
I just used my Ebay account from another computer last night and Ebay needed to either call my phone or send an email with a temporary PIN. I had Ebay call me with the PIN and this is the number they use. It's an automated services that just repeats your temporary PIN until you hang up. This is not a scam, I got my PIN and logged into Ebay as normal.
My guess is that if you're getting these calls and are not trying to log into your Ebay account... Someone else is.
