For each and every call you get from them, report it to the FTC. The government only goes after the worst violators, and "Debt Removers" is apparently one of the worst. Make their stats reflect it.
Received first call today. They left message on my answering machine saying they were responding to my email application for Debt Removers. I never applied for any "Debt Removers." Since I do not have any debt, I don't need their services and did not solicit their services. My guess is that they are phishing web sites to get phone numbers. Sometimes I add my phone number to a sweeps stakes entry or a grocery store sweepstakes such as HGTV. I always use my junk mail box email address. Until today, I haven't had a problem.
they have called here everyday for the past 3 days. today i was hung up on after pressing 1 to try to speak with a real person and find out more information on this company(heard a keyboard typing and then disco'd). so, i didn't get to speak to anyone.
this is the recorded message:
"hi, we have been trying to reach you regarding your e-mail application in which you stated that you were looking for financial assistance. you can press number one for a free consultation with a financial advisor. or you can press number two if you would like to be removed from our calling list."
i know for a fact that myself nor anyone else in this household filled out any email application for these jerks(no problems with credit here). i filed a complaint with the ftc yesterday after their second call here. since they called again today, i went ahead and filed another one. this is war!
They just started calling me, and I have no debt and an 800+ credit score. I just blacklisted them with my CallStation phone system software. It'll hang up every time it recognizes the number now. Unfortunately I will hear one ring though. You need an internal modem, and the software costs a one time $35 - you have a free 30-day trial before purchasing anything (you don't enter CC info until you want to buy, if you want to buy).
