So yes......these guys tried to pull one on me, with attempted extortion and threats to pay an amount much greater than my loan balance. I had (2) loans at once) but they screwed up by asking for large amount of $$$ from 1st loan, then referring to reference names from my 2nd loan (duh). They are not as smart as they think! They're just annoying and rude. I hope everyone continues to warn each other - this is unbelievable. Not only are we victims of attempted extortion but we have to listen to the harrassing voices, threatening jail, threats to call my boss, threat that I would lose job, and have home and car taken away. I called (3) different #'s including some listed in these blogs. They contacted me on (310)775-9069they are all the same people.
HINTS: When they hustle you for $$, try asking them "who should I make my check out to? and what address do I mail to? Although you have no intention of sending money, you'd be surprised that sometimes they give you answers. The man that answers the phone told me to write my check to ULPD and he gave me an actual mailing address for New York.
I believe there is connnection between the (3) following companies:
1)PayDayIsland.com - this may be original loan website from which all personal info (address, SS#, Ck Acct#, email, your IP address, etc) are taken from. Ironically this company can only be contacted by email.
2)ULPD (aka Legal Case United Processing)- they handle the harassing phone calls in attempt to extort victims, they misrepresent themselves as acting on behalf of lender, and make threats including jail and losing job
3)Midland Marketing- I contacted this business (they have several complaints - see websites). The person I spoke with had no accent, and calmly insisted they had no connection to ULPD, not sure what to believe.
