I don't know how they got my cell phone number
in short they offered to settle my credit card debts, even though I don't own any credit cards
I'm 19 and still in school and only have a debit card
Just got a call from this number (I'm in Nova Scotia) - think it's a first for this # as I don't recall seeing that area code before. I did not answer - they did not leave a message.
I just got a call from this number and the caller didn't leave a message. I have reason to believe River Elk Services/SSM Group LLC is behind this scam. If they're not making UNAUTHORIZED deposits into your bank account, they're withdrawing money from your account without your permission or getting other people to harass you with phone calls and trying to scare you with threats of having you arrested and even falsely accusing you of taking out loans or owing on loans you've already paid off.
