This is getting ridiculous. I blocked the call. so its on a long list of calls that is blocked on my phone. Everyday there's a new number that's calling. If its a debt collector they should change there strategy and send me a bill.
Called constantly for 4 days. I answered the last time and they asked for me. I told them there was no one by that name associated with my number. This crazy guy then preceded to tell me that I sounded just like (me) and that he had just talked to me yesterday. He then proceeded to tell me that we had a date for the following day, Valentine's day... SUPER CREEPY PEOPLE!!!! How is that legal???? Needless to say I blocked the number after my husband attempted to call them back several times to now avail.
They have spoofed your neighbor's number, meaning they can make your neighbor's number show on the caller id when they are actually calling from another number. This was done to me so I had to block my own number and changed my message to tell people (1) My number has been spoofed and I did not call you with a scam call; (2) If you are someone I know, please leave a message and I will return call; and (3) If I don't know you, don't bother leaving a message because I will not return the call and will add you to blocked numbers. This has actually worked fairly well. I can actually block only 25 numbers without getting a new phone, but the number of junk calls I get has dropped from 5 or 6 per day to 2 or 3 per week.
