Sadly my friend fell for this and sent the itunes gift cards. After doing some research for him i discovered this page. I hope the scammer involved in this gets whats coming to her/him.

I think the whole premise of the email is a scam, if the ad even seems reasonable. Free shipping? No one is going to ship a car for free, certainly not when it will cost as much to ship as the selling price.

But more importantly, if you want to just get rid of a car because of the 'bad memories' and you don't really care about the price "Must sell!", wouldn't someone just take it to a dealer or CarMax and just sell it to them (which is far easier than having to deal with 'shipping' the car). Or sell it locally to a friend to, again, just get rid of it. Or just donate it.

And why would anyone want so much money in 'gift cards'?

There's just so many warning signs. As with anything on the internet, take it with a grain of salt and look at it with a critical eye.
