CID: Out of Area. Number: 408-470-3931. Call is probably related to this number 408-290-6941. It's so obviously similar that how could it be from a different scammer? I pick up the phone on the first ring and then I immediately hang up to simulate a blocked call. They can keep calling me and I will keep blocking them.
That # called me, too, but the CID showed as V501112600000057. I did not pick up. No message left.
Several times calling the number back always resulted in a "busy signal".
They did use the area code I'm in-this seems to be a growing trend with "tHoSe pEoPlE",
as I have been receiving less and less calls from unfamiliar area codes, and more and
more spoofed calls from my own area code.....anyone else seeing the same?
Still-a CID of V5011126.......Blah Blah umpty scratch is so far out there I just had
to laugh and chalk up another point for our side. Another small VOIP...that is another
small Victory Over Internet Predators.....
I answered it and the hung up on ME How rude. :-) BTW, I think everyone here is on the DO NOT CALL LIST. These scammers don't bother to check because they don't care!
