Received a voicemail phone call at my work number from the above number today--said that they are from a law office but wouldn't name it---claimed that I owe money.
This foreign person called me and said that I was having charges brouught up on me for 3 different things. He never told me what the name of the company. He said that his name was Rob Adams and that he was an attorney. When I called the number back. The same guy answered the phone but didnt state his Law Office name. Call me crazy but if you call a law firm you usually speak to a secretary when you first call and then they transfer the call to the attorney. THIS NEVER HAPPENED!!!
Same situation as the above posts. Foreign-sounding individual with an American name - this time Scott Miller - yeah, right -- with no firm name just a return number. I never call them back. Once I answered and they just want to transfer you to a supervisor. They will not give you the name of the creditor they claim you owe money to and they are collecting for and refuse to send you anything in writing. Unfortunately, they are relentless. Once a few months ago, I finally answered because they would call, leave a message and then immediately call back, like 10 times in a half hour. I got into a argument with the "supervisor" (another foreign sounding indvivdiual named something like Mary Jones) about sending me something in writing. She said unless I paid over the phone that day, I would sorry and would be arrested (?). I just hung up. No reasoning with them as they appear to just be a call center looking for a sucker.
