I got the same yesterday. This guy is an idiot. It sounded somewhat legit until he started using works like "jerk us around" and "you can't blow off debt", then I knew he wasn't an attorney. What did scare me was the fact he had banking info for me. So I changed everything at the bank and let the NYS Attorney General and FBI know. I also called him back a few times and wished him ill, which pissed him off. I'll continue my campaign of revenge today.
I also let Boccardo Law Fuirm in San Jose know, which they said has become a problem for them.
I had a message left on my answering machine from this number. A foreign sounding man, stating his name as Alex Connor, said I or my attorney of record should call him immediately when getting the message. This is the fifth call with the same sounding guy who uses a different name each time he calls. Said he was an attorney.
This guy called my job and left a message. So they gave me the message and I called him back. He tells me I'm being sued because I've received a pay-day loan for $25,000 and never paid it back. Tomorrow I will be arrested if I don't show up to court or pay 10% of what I owe. I just hung up and filed a complaint with the FBI. Really who gets a pay-day loan for $25,000 anyhow. Hope they catch this guy.
