I just got two calls from this number, the second time I picked up. A man with a thick accent told me that my Windows computer was sending out an error message and that if I turned on my computer, he would fix it. I asked him which computer he was talking about, as I have several, and he said "your oldest." he then proceeded to give me an error number and insisted I turn on my computer. When I asked him who specifically he was looking to talk to, he just repeated his demand. I told him I wasn't interested and that now isn't a good time, and he continued to repeat his demand. We went another few rounds until I just hung up. Incredibly creepy.
I am always getting calls from this number telling me that my computer is sending out error messages. For one I know that tthey'read scam because my computer has not been used in over a year, and for two, the battery is most likely dead. So if is not turned on and the battery is dead, how can it send out error messages?
A guy,who I could barely understand with what I think was an Indian accent, said he was calling from Microsoft office. He said my computer was sending back messages and that they haven't been able to do updates for a few days. I said I wasn't in front of my computer. He asked when would be a better time to call. I asked if he was going to tell me how to fix it and he said yes I'm technician.
Just got the same message, they are trying to get you to pay for internet security while you give them access to your personal files. If it sounds fishy, don't do it !!!!
