I received a call from them, it was a recording saying they were the "Delta Group" and I was apart of some lawsuit. Contact the Delta Group at 1-888-607-9251 . That's it. No information about what it's regarding, etc.
I go to one from the Delta Group saying there was currently a motion being filed to suspend all federal and state tax returns bearing my name and social security number due to an unresolved matter I had neglected. What??
ID themselves as the"Delta Group". I asked the guy I talked to if they were debt collectors. He answered by saying they do a lot of things. Wouldn't give me any more information. Using the name "Delta Group". Like they were some sort of
military commando group. Stupid. But there it is. My research shows they've been active since about 2008.

Total scam. No such legal procedures exist. If you were the subject of a pending civil lawsuit, you'd have received a letter from the attorney for the other party. You'd have a paper trail.
Then, if a case was filed, you'd have received a summons delivered to you by someone licensed to serve process in your locality. You would NOT have first heard about any civil law case from some scammery-scummery debt collector who cold calls you and starts demanding money.
You can check this out yourself by simply going down to the local main civil court and checking the defendants civil list. The court clerks are usually glad to help and are familiar with these kinds of scams
Pretty certain the callers are New York based debt scammers. Ignore and block the calls.
