Just got a call this morning from this number. Wife answered it. They said they wanted to go over our "New car warranty". She told them we haven't bought a new car in 15 years, (which is true), and hung up on them. Its definitely a scam.
Received constant calls to my work number. Finally answered, and he tried using buzz words like "turbo" acting as if some kind a warranty was going to expire the minute I hung up (also claimed that a "fax" - who faxes anymore? - just came through 15 mins ago), but if I PAID money now, I could get a 30-day "free" extended warranty and my money could be refunded later. I was quite amused by the ridiculousness of the call, but when I asked to take my name off the list, he said it wasn't a telemarketing call and he gets the number direct from my car dealer. He called himself Matthew Markowitz and said he was with National Automotive (although he tried to infer he was with Nationwide during the call only to restate it when I called him out on it). Total jerk. Following up with dealer, and if I can't get removed from the list, action will be taken.
Call constantly to sell auto warranty. They apparently get vehicle records and then call offering to extend or update your expired or expiring auto warranty. No real company, at least one that would actually pay warranty claims, would act so aggressively. Block number if you can, or add to contacts as "scam" so you know not to answer.
got a call at work, stating my manufactuer parts will expire today. wanted a deposit today for 695 and then 495 for part of 2860.00 for five years totals. paying 197.00 a month. said would work with you on monthly payments if you cannot make monthly payment each month. said i could google up american auto shields bbb rating, wow what a joke. so he hung up after i told him, i dont have any money at all.
