The caller from this number said he was with the California State Police Athletic Association for Children and was soliciting money for them. I asked him what city he represented. His was response was "Ma'am, we are a state organization for the children." He sounded like Joe Friday from the old police show. He started every sentence with "Ma'am. It does no good to register with the 'do not call lists'. I get multiple calls every day. I told him that I was always told that police and fire departments do no solicit by phone and hung up on him. I will, most likely, get another call next month, per usual.

The ID for this number was San Jose. I figured it is a spam call so I don't answer. If someone really wants to talk to me they will leave a message and I'll call back. Otherwise, I don't answer the phone any more.
