So many times this number will call and hang up on me when I answer. Caller Id reads "California Call" which is a spoofed number, using "Google Voice #" (internet number)
They called again and I said hello, someone finally spoke, and she said, May I speak to Mr or Mrs (BLAH BLAH BLAH) and I hung up on her. Knowing it was a telemarketer and I do not give my info to telemarketers.
It was very disturbing though. Because I was in the rest room and I had to leave the rest room and walk to walk to the end of the house to answer, this useless call.
I wish they realized, that people are busy and they stopped me from my important business to go to this BS.
On my caller ID service, this number reads as 0114086185140 (i.e. 011-408-618-5140).
Anytime I see a number starting with 011 I have to laugh, because that's the US International Country Code. If you're calling home from a vacation in Europe or other foreign place, you have to enter that first, and then your number. Someone calling from within the US doesn't need to use it.
Here they bother to spoof a CA number (although from about 350 miles from my home - unlikely I'd 'hire' a contractor from that far away), and forget to remove the code that immediately tags the call as coming from some call center overseas...
Folks, please pay attention: if you think that posting your complaints, and making requests to have your numbers removed from any list on this forum is going to work, you're sadly mistaken. These telemarketers don't care if you're on the Do Not Call List; they don't care if you don't want them to call; they don't care if you call them names or hang up on them. They don't care if it's illegal. They just DON'T CARE.
They are relentless.
They will NEVER stop.
Best advice? Put your phone on silent, and never answer it. You are not required to answer that appliance. Let it ring, forget about it, and go on with your day. If someone wants to reach you that badly, they will leave a message.
