Just tell them you are donating all you money and family inheritance to "elect Donald Trump for President" fund and we will have someone call for their donation. They hang up fast and remove you from their auto dialing. It's fun, have some fun with these goons. I some times answer city jail , hotel and nunnery, survey solutions and make up silly questions, do you still beat your wife, are you still taking illegal drugs. Do you still cheat on your taxes. Life is too short not to have fun and beat these goons at their own nonsense. My phone is part of my private home. They have no right to invade my private home and space, but our government will not protect residents
in your home. You have to do it.
SCAM non profit: I got a call from 408-686-4870, he said... "in a strong , authorative voice, I'm Ken Dougherty"..."representing the national police ..." .... I assume collecting bogus high priced donations for some fake , 'high maintenace fee" charity. I heard of these scams, and they are scams even if they represent local police unions. They sell you things like 2 or 3 tiny jars of jelly for $29 (worth about $4) and claim the 'extra' goes to some police or firemans charity. But most likely, they get $24 of the $29 for mainenace costs, the charity gets $1, and pay some fly by night jelly maker $4 for the mostly sugar, little flavor 'jelly'. If you really want to donate to your local police & firemans charity...donate directly. It'll cost you less, they'll get more, and both of you will be better off.
i received a call this morning from this number. The voice is recorded. I said "hello" and then the Ken Dougherty guy's voice came on. After I didn't answer the recorded voice said, "are you there?" and when I did not answer, the line disconnected.
408-686-4870 Got the same automated call from Ken Dougherty. Played along so I got a real person on the phone. Then in my best Mexican accent I answered every question with "Yez". When he asked if I wanted to use MasterCard, Visa, or Discover, I answered "Yez". He then asked "Do you speak English sir? Because you answered my question about which card you wanted to use with 'Yes'. What card would you like to use?" I answered "One of those". He got all upset and hung up. Sorry pal!
