They called me 3 times in a 40 minute period this morning (my cell phone) but left no messages. I called the number and got a recording that I had been pre-approved for some lame credit card. When I got through to someone and told them I was on DNC list I was hung up on. I called back again and told them to remove my number and that I would report any future calls to the FTC. I was told that "this is what happens when you put your phone number on the internet and the DNC registry doesn't mean a thing" We'll see about that. I just reported them 3 times, once for each call!
I just got a call from this # (408-731-7348), a woman asked for me by name and said she was with Ameritrust and were offering a $5k credit card. I said no thanks and she said ok, then I googled the #. Good thing I said no.
