Who called from 4087896598

Someone posing as an Internal Revenue official saying not to disregard the call.  So I called back and there was no answer and was advised to call back later.  Got to be a scam of sorts.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

IT'S scam

Received a call from this number. Voice message came on and said to call my lawyer and get in touch with number they gave. Said they were the IRS. I called back +1 (408) 789-6598
Sunnyvale, CA. Person of East Indian decent (sound of voice) answered "IRS". I asked since when does the IRS work on Thanksgiving? He immediately hung up on me.

Same thing happened to us today and we had plenty of choice words for the idiot on the other line. I said who calls from IRS on thanksgiving ??? Idiots
