Caller identified themselves as a collection agency and requested I verify my SSN, birthdate, address. When I wouldn't she became very belligerent. She had information about which hospital I use and claimed to have sent multiple collection notices to my address however, none have ever come and I have no knowledge of an outstanding bill from my hospital from last year. She said another notice went out on 7/4 but what collection agency would work on 4th of July in the US? She initially claimed our conversation would be recorded but there was no recording beep. I said I would be checking with my hospital and she got very angry and ruder. I recalled the phone number and it said it was disconnected.

After this number called several times leaving no message, I answered and the salesman asked if I needed housing contractor work, yard work, painting, etc. I said I already had that taken care of, to please remove my name from his calling list - the guy said "No, that's not my job" and hung up on me. Have blocked this number. Don't worry about just hanging up on these jerks.
I received this call at 1:20pm July 16, 2014. A woman calling from a call center asked for me by my first name, and then didn't hang up. I could hear other people in the background "following up and offering a free estimate" on something.
