I don't want these spammers to know my number gets a live voice; so, I never answer AND I never let it go to voice mail (because it's off). Number is being blocked. I don't get too many repeat calls when I pick up the number on the first ring and immediately hang up. Try it out, you may receive fewer repeat calls from the same number.

I answered because I work out of a home office. I suspected it was a spam call when I picked up and there was a brief pause as the call was routed to an agent. The caller said they were calling from the Council for Renewable Energy and asked for me by name. I didn't respond and they hung up after a couple of seconds.
Picked up because it's a local 408 number. Yet again found out that this is another number being used by the so-called "Council for Renewable Energy" who go into the usual blurb about them being able to see we are paying more than $75 per month to PG&E for electricity (how would they be able to see this, to start with?). I'm fed up of the Do Not Call Registry not having any teeth. I've reported this so many times. Don't know what else I can do to stop these calls. Really, if they are genuinely trying to sell solar energy to Californians, they really out to stop this practice of pissing people off with junk calls.
