Everyday I get numerous calls from #. When I answer the call there is nothing but silence. I return the call and a electronic-female voice greeting says, "Hello, this is the phone mail system, the party you have called" then an older gentleman's voice says, what sounds like, "Post Starts" (a little static makes it unclear what he actually says); then the electronic-female greeting continues on with, "at extension 2-7-5-5 is not available, this destination is not accepting messages because the mailbox is full. To transfer out of phone mail push ZERO ... to reach an operator push pound, to transfer to another extension dial that ext and push pound..." AFTER NUMEROUS call backs and no responses and dead ends, the one time an operator answered, it was the (San Jose) MERCURY NEWS! I told them to STOP calling me.
I called the San Jose Mercury News' President's office (see below) and left a voicemail with the voicemail of the assistant, Jeannie, stating that I am getting cold calls from 408-920-2755 who stated that I had signed up a subscription from a door to door salesman when that was not true. I said that I wanted them to stop immediately or if it was not them then to call the people at 408-920-2755 to ask them to stop immediately since I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST and I was disgusted that a respected newspaper would do such a thing.

I continuously receive calls from this number 408-920-2755. when i answer, the line is silent. when i call back, it's busy. now that i now the source i will be contacting them directly.
This is the San Jose Mercury, and they cold call me so much that I cancelled an existing home delivery that I DID have. When I pick it up, the phone line is dead - I don't understand the point in the calling. My son is seriously ill, and we have to leave the phone on for doctors, and these calls have come in as early as 8:45 a.m. Poor, poor customer relations!
