This same thing happened to me. They called me about some legal something-or-other that I know I don't have. I didn't answer them, but they left a voice mail. In it, they said the call was for someone named Nicki or something. I just got a new phone number, so I thought that it was maybe for whoever had my number before, but I know better now.
Caller called several times stating that I have legal charges against them. When I did the basic identity verification, caller stated that I was "lying to get out of being charged." I have never wanted to climb through a phone line so badly in my life. Several calls and weeks back and forth later, I am actively seeking the owner/operator of this number to sue them for harassment.
I also got a call. It has to be a scam. I asked for information on the debt and she stated I have 2 choices pay 1000 now or go to court. She couldn't give me information on the debt or her company. Said it was an arbitration company I guess no name. Sounded Nigerian. I put a fraud alert with the three credit bureaus

They keep calling my elderly parents house leaving detailed legal crap for me on their voicemail. First they do not need to be bothering the elderly and second if they have business with me they should have the info to call me directly. This has to stop!
