Left a message threatening to have an arrest warrant issued for me if I didn't take care of some matter immediately. so upon calling back they just picked up the phone and did not identify the name of their company so when I demanded the name of the company I was hung up on multiple times. finally one gentleman that answered first spoke in an unknown language and then identified the company as being the IRS.. Scam..
Left message on my voicemail the same as others. Alex Brown regarding IRS and potential arrest. It is a mechanical voice. Did not answer call or call back.
Left a long voicemail messages saying i owe taxes and they were going to turn me over to the FBI. I called the number back, some guy(strong India accent) answered the phone and I then ask for Alex Brown. He ask me if that was my name. I said yes. He proceeded to tell me that the call was in guards to some back of taxes, in which I responded to him "I do not know any taxes." He then proceeded to threatening me saying that if I don't listen to what he says then he was going to hang up the phone and send the paperwork to the FBI. I told him "that's fine go ahead and do that." He did hang up the phone after that I tried to call back serval times and every time someone answer the phone they did not say a word and hung up on me. So maybe the FBI needs to know about them.
Copied the transcription of the message from visual voicemail dictation) "Under your name there are some serious charges has been pressed against you so before anything goes wrong or before we track down your case file to your local police department in order to get arrested ___ all these charges I want you to call us back as soon as possible at my department call back number which is 409-440-4666 I repeat again 409-440-4666 this is Alex Brown again from investigation department of internal revenue service" My husband attempted to call the # back to mess with them, but it just made the tones like this # is no longer in service. This has scam written all over it in BOLD letters!!!
Yes Indeed, I received the same message, lucky for me my best friend of 30-yrs works for the IRS in Austin Tx i gave him the number & he looked into it. It is indeed a total scam operation, either block the number or just don't answer it, my bestie is forwarding this info to the FBI to locate this company & shut them down.
