Indian man calling himself Roger called from this number this afternoon saying he was with a solar company. I politely told him I was not interested and asked to be removed from his list. He replied in sarcastic gibberish and then called me an effing [***] and hung up. This is the 5th different number that's called in the last 4 weeks - all claiming to be solar companies - all men with heavy Indian accents. Extremely annoying. At what point is this constant calling harassment?
Indian sounding man, saying we need to return call regarding irs tax debt Claiming to represent irs. The warrant for our arrest at this address has been sent..Ridiculous! It's amazing the phone service can't find a way to have these asinine calls blocked.
Calling cell phone and saying they are a solar company - continues to call when he has been told not to call back. This isn't telemarketing this is harassment. How can this number be shut down??????????????????
I received 10-20 calls a day from this number. They don't leave a message because it's robocall/computerized. That's why there is a pause if you do actually pick up--the computer is connecting you to the offensive moron on the other end. Once a week, I would answer and demand that they stop calling me. It didn't stop for over three weeks until I sat through their spiel. As others have stated they knew my name, address, make of car, current insurance company and my lack of accidents/tickets. Yeah, pretty creepy and certainly without my permission. They, of course, weren't selling anything, just informing me that i should expect a series of phone calls from insurance companies who are going to offer me incredible offers. The bigger creep factor is, say you are a battered woman avoiding your abuser and the telephone keeps ringing but no one leaves a message and if you do answer no one is there (which is the experience until the computer connects you to some rude intrusive person). Other than telling each other these stories, what can we do? The phone company can do nothing. Blocking the number even if it ever gets done is pointless beause these companies often have access to use of hundreds of numbers.
