Caller ID comes up at B Patel. Answered the phone with our standard, "Hi, this is the _______! So and so speaking. How may I help you?" And got silence.... Called back to make sure it wasn't one of our clients and got placed on hold and when the guy answered the line, he said "Legal Department." Great, "For what company?" "CVRP", maybe "BBRP" Me: "Ok.... Someone called me but didn't say anything." Him: "Let me check your number. I don't see anything, did they leave a message?" Me: "No. I just said someone called and said nothing. PRRRROOOOOBABLY because this is a business line. Not a personal one." Him: "Oh. well then.... disregard." hahahaha. Scam scam scam.
they said it was for a complaint against a person who is not me. But I know the person and they got the name slightly wrong so I for sure know this is a scam. Did not leave a name or company name but have been reported to the FTC
Got a call from this number and they left a message saying that someone filed a complaint against somebody named Deana Malonie, who obviously isn't me. Somebody stop these people! I'm glad I have readable voice mail on top of regular voice mail. I hate scanners! Get a realing job!
Same as others said, say they are calling referencing a "complaint" filed against me and they need either my home or work address to serve papers. They left a return # and a reference # to give. It was entirely automated. Oh and they used my previous married name I have not used in 8 years. Scam.
