A woman called from 410-305-6025 saying she was from "CPN" and wanted to talk to me about my account with them. She insisted I had an account with them even though I had not given her my name and she didn't ask for me by name. This was a work phone that I answered so I said I had never even heard of them and then I asked who she thought she was talking to. She was very evasive this whole time and I had to keep interrupting her so I became suspicious. Finally she gave me the name of the business owner (who is male, and who I could not have been mistaken for because I am female) and said it was about our credit card service for our customers. She said "your customers do pay with credit cards, don't they?" Ever more suspicious, I decided to put her on hold and confer with an employee in finance. That is when I discovered we do not have an account with CPN. I got back on the line and told her we don't have an account with them and we are not interested and I hung up. Not 30 second later she CALLED BACK saying, "I think we got off on the wrong foot..." I interrupted her and said, "Yes we did get off on the wrong foot because you misled me into thinking you have an account with us when we don't!" I hung up again. Fortunately she has not called back yet, but I will definitely be reporting this number. It sounds like a line used by scammers who run all types of different scams. I hope they rot in jail.
