Scammer. Called asking for Carol. When told they had a wrong number, said "Well maybe you can help me", which is when I hung up. This scam is part of a large network, as I have had male and female callers try to pull the same thing.
DO NOT give them your address for them to "mail you a pamphlet"!! Same guy tried calling me several months ago with the same line, "Is XXX there?-- Oh, well maybe you can help me..." They asked for the same wrong name both times for different "charities" (AMVETS of America or some crap (NOT associated with the actual AMVETS foundation, mind you), and now the Police). Very distinguishable voice. I pray that he gets a life. Jerk.
A very happy sounding and loud woman. I answered and she said "Hi, how are you?" like I was supposed to know her or something. I just said, "Better once I hang up on you". It has happened before. She says, "Oh, I think I dialed the wrong number" but then starts telling me a bunch of BS. Whoever it is doesn't know me from the next person. A scam.
