Got a harassing phone call from this number. They left a message on my answering machine.They claimed that they were with an IRS investigation office that was going to press criminal charges against me. Sound like a complete fraudulent call. I am certain that it's a phishing scheme of some kind. Just blocked the number don't fall for their line of garbage.
Cooley doesn't have offices in Maryland.
Chris Mathews aka Christopher M. Matthews is a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, who has reported on various articles that mention Cooley in the past.
The email was put together by a scammer, who simply trawled Google for "lawyer-speak" key words, and happened to get a hit that mentioned the names and locations given in the email.
Another post gave the return email address for the "Attorney General".....
....yeah, US Attorney Generals use Hotmail for the government emails.... NOT!
