Got a harassing phone call from this number. They left a message on my answering machine.They claimed that they were with an IRS investigation office that was going to press criminal charges against me. Sound like a complete fraudulent call. I am certain that it's a phishing scheme of some kind. Just blocked the number don't fall for their line of garbage.
This is definitely fraudulent! If its signed by Chris Matthews. He is a talk show host for NBC. Dont respond. I have gotten 4, signed by different people. They have even called my family. I went to the local police, they called...and were hung up on.
Ok, I am so glad I looked this person and number up before I opened any attachments. I received the same email I have read about here and started freaking out. I don't write checks, so I had thought someone got a hold of my information and was doing something under my name that I would now have to try and clear. Thank you everyone who has posted. I will definitely be reporting this email to one of the previous links above.
Got the exact same email and everything from a Chris Matthews. Do you think they have been watching a little bit of "Hardball w/Chris Matthews"? LOL...This is a total scam and just ignore it. I know for a fact I do not have any type of loan or anything of this nature out there. I wish they would take me to court. Then I would counter sue them for harassment and pain and suffering because of this action. I will sue them for millions if they call me.
