I have also received a call from this number (410) 929-7381 with the caller ID showing Daniel Bitzel. I decided to let it go to voicemail, but no voicemail was left. That made me suspicious. The caller is not legitimate. I am blocking that number.
Awesome reply! I've tried several times to explain this to folks here and on a couple of the other sites like it. It's nice to see that there are others who get it! More people need to understand the difference between the legitimate businesses who subscribe to the DNC list and these no good criminals who prey on the elderly and the ignorant. Maybe if 800Notes put your explanation in some permenant place at the top of the site and instructed people to "Please read this before commenting" more people would understand what they were dealing with and how best to respond.
