Received a call from 412-200-1197 from PA, USA but it really is a sweat shop - job shop the Khushnuma Hassan she said she was in India but after Googling the name it appears from United Arab Emirates. Call type is recruiter. This number is found under many recruiter names and is not just Mastech. ?? This is FRAUD They are trolling on US job sites and start recruiting for other recruiting companies. FRAUD
I received a call from this firm. No message. But, reading these other posts, and seeing that Mastech viewed my resume on CareerBuilder.com, and I am looking for Healthcare IT PM positions, seems legit. However, I fail to understand why everyone is from India and barely speak English. I really have no desire to work for any company that farms their recruiting out to firms such as Mastech.
While the caller ID may say that the call is from Switzerland, it isn't. The call is coming from Mastech IT Staffing. I suspect that the confusion is due to the local prefix of 200. The call number that was left on voice mail was 877-884-8834.
The caller id on my cell also says that the call came from Switzerland. While most numbers in the caller id have a 1, then U.S. area code, then the 7 digit phone number. Mastech's number shows up as +4122001197. It happens that +41 is the Switzerland country code and 22 is even an area code within Switzerland, but then 7 digits should follow.
Anyways, I think they are calling from India and post Mastech's U.S. domestic phone number in the caller ID.
I have been contacted by them before and recently by their personnel with Indian names and accents. They have left voicemails and even e-mailed. Its no wonder Indian folks are calling as I found a picture with Indian employees on Glassdoor.com that is captioned, "Mastech Bangalore Office Inauguration 11/18/14." I surmise that they use these overseas personnel to troll job boards and aggressively offer potential jobs to job seekers. They may be a legit recruiting firm, but I am wary to ever consider working with them because:
1. They are out of state to me.
2. I have never heard of them before they contacted me.
3. I did not apply to a job with them.
4. Staffing agency will eventually need all of your personal info to work with them and I am not comfortable with that especially through people overseas.
