The recruiters are calling from all over the US, but if they call you, they will look for jobs in your area. They're not recruiting for Boston (or wherever they call from)...However, they talk to 500 people a day and have a memorized spiel. In that heavy accent, I can barely understand it myself.
I just got a VM from a recruiter at this number/company for a marketing communications position in the Tampa Bay area, that I didn't apply for, so they got my resume from a job board, as well. And as noted previously, the person's English was so heavily accented, it was hard to understand a lot of what he said.
Received call 4/7/17 from the number above. Starting to see this more since my info is on Job Boards trying to find work after hundreds of my colleagues lost their jobs to India. They may be "the right price" but so many lack the experience of dealing in the West and require someone to help with the clean-up efforts. THIS CALLER did NOT bother to leave a voice mail. India has lost control of their on-shore resources as many I have encountered were less than honest or ethical. Of course I assume that they were in the US and not in India using an IP Telephone Connection. Trump is right.
