Another Energy switch company who will not ID themselves except for city and state.
This time from Carnegie, PA who claims to offer you a discount.

If the company can't ID themselves then they shouldn't be making this type of call.
I just called my own electric supplier and they said they do not make these type of 'Cold calls'.

Unfortunately because of the deregulation of energy these types of calls will continue, my own supplier said that other companies will use another company name to try and entice you to switch or at least press 1 to find out more about this 'enticing switch' offer. And it is while not ethical, it is legal as well as very annoying.

PLC in PA
Called 6:04pm; Caller ID listed "Carnegie".

Didn't pick up; went to VM:  pre-recorded or computerized female voice offering a "... 15% discount and lower rate", then disconnected after getting no reponse to "Push 5" to continue.

The VM cut off the beginning of the message, so I don't know if they identified themselves (I doubt it). and I don't know what the discount/rate is for.  Probably it's a pitch to switch electric/energy companies, as a previous post reports.

I do know it's another nuisance roboscam, though.

Fix It DIY Style
This was a robo-call (strike 1), calling to lower my PPL electric rates (strike 2 - I don't have PPL) calling randomly in total violation of the National Do-Not-Call Registry (strike 3). I "pressed 1" to talk to a human and got a heavily-accented man. I expressed interest, gave him a bogus PPL 10-digit number, then sat back for the ride. 21 minutes later, I notified them that they have had their time WASTED because they are violating the NDNCR, and that this is the way that a lot of us are fighting back. Since this was a "recorded call", I asked them to pass the recording up the line to whoever in their sales department (oh yeah - Liberty Power in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla, 866-769-3799. Give them a call and ask if anyone there can supply you with their official policy on the NDNCR...) decided how to get sales leads.
