They called and said they were with The Atlantic Magazine. Said they had a 3-year renewal offer. Sounded good so I said sure. Repeated all my personal information back to me including wife's name to "confirm" the mailing before transferring me to the "supervisor". The guy asked for my credit card number, told him never mind, he asked why I'd changed my mind, said I suddenly felt I couldn't trust him, he asked why I'd wasted his employee's time (anger in his voice), then I hung up.
I have sprint, not sure if my carrier matters or not, I don't usually answer telephone calls when I don't recognize the number but this number called me like 5 times today, maybe my phone number was stuck in a loop to redial or not, finally answer the call and there was a slight hesitation and then they hung up so I called it back and of course there's no service at this number.
Do not answer! Called the # on my office phone and the number is a "non working number". Wish there was a way of pushing a button and tossing a digital hand grenade back at them.
