The same thing happened to me right after I signed up for unemployment. They call but there's never anyone there when I answer. This is on my home phone. I very rarely give out my cell #, only to folks I know.
I applied online for Government Help. This call started right after, I did see an option for food stamps on there too. It was a website given to me by unemployment services once mine ran out.
I get calls from this number almost daily. They claim to be trying to settle a payment plan with a default you've made on your PayDay loan. They call me at work, when you tell them that you cannot take calls at work they don't care. If you hang up, they call right back. I am in a PayDay Loan Debt Assistance Program and was informed by the program that if you ever received calls from "Indian" speaking people, they are scams and you should not talk with them. Caller beware!!!!!
