got a call from this number and answered it. They asked for me (first and last name) I asked why they were calling before I said this is her, and they would not tell me so hung up.
Portfolio recovery is a really scummy collection service – I have no idea why they don't even bother to call when they're going to hang up anyway without leaving a message, and we even knowing who they are.
I didn't answer this call, but it is from Portfolio Recovery? For real? I just recently participated in a settlement of a class action suit against these fools. I guess it is time to start recording stuff once again. This is incredible! (Wait a minute! Maybe it is NOT Portfolio Recovery! The reports on this phone number don't match the MO for Portfolio Recovery. It is entirely possible that someone is masquerading as Portfolio Recovery.)
