Person calling claims to represent a sweepstakes company that I entered visiting a sponsored web-site, and that I've "qualified for the big $1 million dollar prize", and they need more information to enter me for the next level. Person I spoke with would not tell me which website, or give me the name of their company, or where they were calling from. This was the second time they called my phone (the first time was from 412-346-8831) - the original one call I just told them to go to hell and take me off their phone list. This one I gave a phoney name, address and phone number (the local FBI office), and they said, "Yup, we have you in our system!", and after wasting a good 10 minutes of their time, I told them to go to hell and take me off their call list. When you call the number, a robot gives you the option of being entered in their sweepstakes or getting taken off their call list.

I got a call around 4pm stating that I am eligible to reduce my student loan debt by 95% and they just needed more information from me. I told the guy on the line that I was at work and couldn't talk at the moment and he continued to ask questions. I realized I wasn't going to get anywhere with this pushy telemarketer so I hung up and blocked the number.
One of 80+ SCAM calls I have received in the last four weeks (even after blocking 30+ different phone numbers from a dozen different area codes)--"pay day loan", "student loan forgiveness", "government grants" etc. Called my cell today, left no message. I blocked them.
