My secretary relayed his message to me via email and I called this number back and confirmed that Mr. Hoover is an individual that represents a technology solutions provider specifically in the manufacturing industry. I told him that I didn't appreciate his message approach. He seemed professional with me on the phone. His companies expertise wasn't applicable to our world but ended up giving him a referral.
Sounds like a collection agency. Don't return the call until after you receive a letter from them and have had time to investigate dealing with collection agencies. Remember, you do not have to deal with them but if there is a debt owing you can still deal with the original holder of the debt if it has not been written off. Be sure to do a good investigation of the whole situation before you talk to them.
I too just got a message from him (Brad Hoover). All he said was that he had been thinking a lot about my conversation with a Wes Esley and it bothered him and that we should talk because he has some important things to tell me. I believe he also said his company was "PCV", but I have never heard or talked to any of these people before, nor this company.
Some guy claiming to be Brad Hoover left a voicemail saying "After talking to everybody I'm surprised I haven't heard back from you." He then left his number, but struggled with the last few digits. I'm guessing he's in a boiler room somewhere and has a few extensions to choose from. Definitely sounds like a scam based on the other remarks above. Also, he sounds like a real jerk.
