My secretary relayed his message to me via email and I called this number back and confirmed that Mr. Hoover is an individual that represents a technology solutions provider specifically in the manufacturing industry. I told him that I didn't appreciate his message approach. He seemed professional with me on the phone. His companies expertise wasn't applicable to our world but ended up giving him a referral.
"Eric"
Really? Your message makes me even more suspicious, because I would have expected more information from someone who had left a message such as yours - like a third sentence letting everyone know who this guy was, or who GBI was. So forgive me, "Eric", for being suspicious, or for doubting if "Eric" is your name, or for doubting that you aren't associated with "Brad Hoover" at "GBI". Google provides nothing useful, which is also suspicious, don't you think?
So, if I'm wrong for calling hogwash, would you please some additional info?
Today is Monday May 18th, and I got a call from the now infamous "Brad Hoover", said. "he was dissapointed he had not heard back from me, and to call him". Same M/O, no detail. A reminder to those of us in sales, this is the wrong way to go about building our business. If we resort to these methods, the business we get will usually be because of the approach and not because of the product value. If you are selling a high value product please don't resort to these mind numbing tactics, it wastes everybody's time, and time is so precious.
I receieved a voice mail from "Brad Hoover" saying he is with "Sterling PCU". His message was "I think it may be important for us that we speak, 412-458-1913." I already wasteed more than enough time with this, I'm not calling him back.
I have partnered with Brad in the past to gain information regarding new technology in the manufacturing world. Brad represents technology manufacturers in the manufacturing industry.
With different debt companies trying to get in touch with individuals in the market, most of these complaints are probably from people that have bad debt and have been "taken" by professional voicemails, I can assure you that Brad is a legit contact and I don't see any downsides following up to his message he left you.
