412-503-4002.... companies like this buy debts for pennies on the dollar... if you owe a total of $500 and the debt is less than 1 yr old they might've only paid $5 for you account. potentially could buy your account for .02 % or lower depends on the debt its self... this company from what i hear from my girlfriend is garbage... do not pay them any more than 20% of the debt... PERIOD!!!... ALWAYS REMEMBER PAY YOUR DEBTS... JUST BE SMART... THE OLDER THE DEBT THE CHEAPER IT IS FOR THE COMPANY TO BUY IT... HENCE THE LOWER % YOU SHOULD BE WILLING TO PAY!! good luck with these "people".
CBCS Collection Agency called claiming I have a debt. They warned me that this conversation is being recorded. I don't have any outstanding debt and told them about it. I also requested this information sent to me by mail. Will see if they do.
I have received numerous calls from this number on my cell phone. They have called from this number, and from 412-503-9230. The person they are trying to contact isn't me... They are giving me a false name and trying to obtain MY name.
Nice to have found this site because they keep calling me as well. I do have a few debts, but have no idea how they got my cell number!

The law states that you can write them a letter telling collection agencies to stop calling/mailing (etc) you that you will only accept bills and calls from (insert company name here) and they MUST listen or get into trouble. Collection agencies are considered 2nd and 3rd parties.

What I can't believe is the mail I received once telling me that my debt for 500.00 had been sold to this company and they were willing to settle it for 300.00.. I do know these companies have default insurance to cover half of it, are they actually making money off it, but selling people's debts??

BTW-Most of my debt was to a couple cell phone companies when early termination. One even admitted their service was not fully in the area, there was bad reception, yet they charged me for canceling a service that didnt work?? I am glad they NOW have that law where they give you so much time to try it, then return it if you don't like it, but I think most of us racked up bills with the unfair penalties on cell phone services that didnt work back when. I think all that debt should be canceled for that time frame regarding cell phone services.
