412-503-4002.... companies like this buy debts for pennies on the dollar... if you owe a total of $500 and the debt is less than 1 yr old they might've only paid $5 for you account. potentially could buy your account for .02 % or lower depends on the debt its self... this company from what i hear from my girlfriend is garbage... do not pay them any more than 20% of the debt... PERIOD!!!... ALWAYS REMEMBER PAY YOUR DEBTS... JUST BE SMART... THE OLDER THE DEBT THE CHEAPER IT IS FOR THE COMPANY TO BUY IT... HENCE THE LOWER % YOU SHOULD BE WILLING TO PAY!! good luck with these "people".
They called me earlier in the week and left a message- I think the guys name may have been Greg- I didn't really listen to the voicemail. Then, they called me about 10 minutes ago and left no voicemail since I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. About 1 minute ago, they called again and STILL left no message.
According to the Federal Trade Commission's Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Section 806:
(5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.
(6) Except as provided in section 804, the placement of telephone calls without meaningful disclosure of the caller's identity.
I would suggest filing a complaint with the FTC, with whatever information you do have about them, even if it is just a phone number. That has to account for something since you don't know much more than that because no one will tell you why they are calling. Be sure to include a reference to Section 806: (5) & (6) as stated above in the "Explain your problem" section of the complaint form.

I just got a call from Greg trying to reach my mother. She was unavailable, and he kept saying he wanted to be put on hold. I insisted that it was going to be quite some time, he got rather short and insisted it was very important. He asked for a cell phone number, and I told him I was not comfortable giving the number to him if he would not say what his call was regarding. He then accused me of lying about who I was, thinking that I was my mother pretending to not be available. He then asked if I was screening her calls. I told him he was making me uncomfortable and that I was hanging up, and he then hung up. He tried to be intimidating all the way around and was extremely rude.
