Got a call from 412-567-1959. Same company that is using similar phone number like 412-567-1969, etc. They're all mostly from Disversified Consultants, a collection agency out of Florida. Don't answer.
These People claiming they are from Primier Services ,representing other services that I owe from five years ago. They want me to give them my debit card information and then If I dont handle matter that they will have me arrested. They never give me the account numbers or file numbers.
Scammers. Debt is civil, not criminal, so no one is going to be arrested. It's a violation of federal law to threaten an alleged debtor with arrest for defaulting on a debt.
NEVER pay any caller who refuses to mail - do not accept email or fax - proof of debt/proof they have the legal right to collect said debt. Refusal to mail this documentation within five days of their first call to you is another violation of federal law. In other words, no written, verifiable proof that you owe them mailed to you, do not pay - per the FDCPA.
