That's for Sure! The other thing is the scammers want you to pay up NOW, and try and scare you about going to jail later that same day. The real IRS cares a lot about finding and keeping track of you, but not so much about how fast you pay up. The interest and penalties just keep growing.
Got a call from these guys saying they were the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit and call the same number they called me with. I called and got an East Indian man.had a field day with him. I pushed him and they asked for what year, he gave me several years, I told him impossible. He repeated it again, and I said since you know this much info on me I am entitled to know more from him. He got nervous, so I asked to speak to his supervisor. He said ok and then the so called supervisor had his same voice. I asked him where he was calling me from and he gave me an extremely foul name, of which I won't repeat, then he hung up on me. Had a ball with these idiots. Total scam!
