Got a call at 7:51am to my cell in Northeast Indiana. I'm very private about my cell number, so I was immediately suspicious, and just hung up. Reverse phone on whitepages.com lists this number as owned by a company called Plant Health Care in Pittsburg. This appears to be a legitimate professional organization, but I don't do business with them. I have no reason to believe the call really came from them. No message was left. I've been on the National Do Not Call Registry for years.
A recorded message dialed out at 1628 ET on 05-31-2009 from this number to area code 260, purportedly from Salin Bank. "Your bank card has been suspended..."
I don't have an active account or bank card from this bank.
If you receive a call that shows on your caller id as being from 412-826-5488 and is seeking banking or credit card information, please be advised that this is a SCAM. My company owns the above number, but we are NOT making these calls. Someone is faking our number on your caller ID to make it seem like a legitimate US telephone call, but this is a foreign SCAM to steal your baking and credit card information.
We have reported the illegal use of our telephone number to the FBI.
Received a call at 10:50pm on Monday night. I answered and received a message saying that my account from some credit card had been cancelled and to reactivate the card I should press #1. I hung up, of course, but am also sharing this information because it's obviously a scam. I hope these jerks are found and prosecuted for fraud among other things!
Recieved this call late Sunday evening on my Cell phone.
Only Phone number came up. I did not answer it as it was in middle of storm. and Too late for calls.
