Got this call today at 5:21pm central and yesterday at 7:27pm central. Does anyone know who this company is so that we can report them and possbile bother them back?
They call our company constantly, it's a recording and the first thing you hear is the sound of a cruise ships' horn. The survey thing is new, because us used to get 2 options 1 to speak with an operator or 2 to get removed from their list. It obviously doesn't work as they are still calling and I've spoke with their operators and they don't comply. I called their number and their mailbox is full.
Starts with "This is your captain." Answer the automated poll, and you get "two free cruise boarding passes". I pressed '0' for every question, and it told me that I had finished the survey, and asked me to press one to tell the operator what name I wanted on the boarding passes. Got operator 0173. Asked her who she was and where she was located. She told me, "Answer Solutions, on the eastern seaboard of the United States." I asked her what number the automated dialer had dialed; she didn't know, but said she would transfer me to the "do not call" extension. It automatically identified the back line that it had called, and claims to have removed it. I googled up http://digg.com/business_finance/Answer_Solut ... _com_of_Florida, and believe that this is them.
When I call the number back, I get the message saying that the mailbox is full.
Don't tell them anything. Not even a name, or your gender, or anything. Scam, scam, scam.
