Called and had my first name, she said she knew I was busy as a small business owner ( if she did then why did she call to waste my time) she went on to talk about some kind of health insurance, I said I was not interested but she kept yammering on so CLICK!
Destiny called asking if the owner was available, she called him by his first name. I said no, he's not in. She said 'okay, thank you' and went to hang up. I asked if I could ask what she was calling about and she asked me if I was Mrs. Last Name. I responded 'no, this is the receptionist at the company you called' and she hung up. Sounded like a call center with a lot of people talking in the back ground.
When I called back to see what company it was there was an automated message saying 'Sorry we can not connect your call at this time' and hung up.
Called asking for our company owner, I said he is not available but I will transfer you to his assistant... she says "well are you Mrs. ____?" I respond "uh, no, you are calling a business, please hold" to which she responded "no thanks I'll call back later" I don't know what's going on but we have been getting a crazy influx of calls in the last two weeks from scam "companies" asking to speak to our owner. Extremely disruptive to not only the business but my day in general. Get a real job.
We get this call about once a week... I say my phone greeting and all I get is "can I talk to the owner?" LOL when have you ever called a place of business and been able to just ask for the owner? I said "no he is not available, can I take a message?" -- "Well, is his wife there?" Yea, no. Stop calling.
